The Profound Power of Gratitude and the Universal Principles.
Oct 08, 2023
We exist in a fast paced world that is filled with chaos and challenges. If you turn on the news (I don’t) then you will be faced with the tragedies that are occurring on a daily basis, humans hurting other humans, financial struggles, war, politics, children that are being hurt and lost. But there is a timeless wisdom that transcends all cultural boundaries and speaks to the essence of human experience: the practice of gratitude. The concept of the universal principles expand on gratitude practice in so many ways. Both of these concepts, though seemingly distinct are intricately intertwined, forming the cornerstone of personal growth, contentment and a harmonious existence.
Its currently Canadian Thanksgiving, a given time to reflect on our family connections, what we have in blessings, and what we are grateful for. Gratitude is a more than a polite “thank you” or a fleeting moment of appreciation; it’s a profound state of mind and a way of life. At its core, gratitude involves recognizing and intentionally appreciating the abundance and blessings that surround us, even amidst adversity. It is the art of acknowledging the small gifts that go unnoticed in our busy lives.
Why is gratitude so important when we look at change, growth and mindset shift?
- Gratitude cultivates a positive mindset. When we focus on what he have rather than what we lack, we naturally become happier and more optimistic. We increase our energetic frequency, shift our thoughts and our emotions into positive feelings. In response our behaviours and body feelings improve.
- Expressing gratitude can improve relationship. Expressing gratitude strengthens our relationships and fosters connections, trust and a sense of being valued both in personal and professional spheres. If you guide those you work with to find reasons they are grateful for a spouse, child or co-worker they are struggling with they will shift from frustration with these individuals into deeper connections.
- Gratitude supports positive mental health and wellness. It is linked to improved mental well-being. It reduces stress, anxiety and depression, promoting emotional resilience.
- Gratitude also supports positive physical health. Studies have suggested that practicing gratitude can enhance physical health by reducing inflammation, improving sleep and boosting the immune system.
Universal principles are the threads that weave the fabric of our reality. When we align our lives with these principles, we tap into a wellspring of wisdom and guidance. Understanding the universal principles are the blueprint of the energy within us and around us supports our positive mindset shifts, and the manifestation of the reality we desire. Gratitude takes a role in many of these principles and the energy we are made up of.
With the Law of Vibrance we know that everything in the universe is in a constant state of movement, of vibration. Gratitude raises our vibrational frequency, aligning us with higher states of consciousness and attracting more positivity. One grateful thought can lead to another and another, improving our mood, our mindset and our behaviours.
The Law of Correspondence is a reflection principle. As above, so below, as within so without. We are a mirror to what we experience. If we focus on the needs that we aren’t having met, we are going to feel needy. If we focus on what we have, and find gratitude every day, we are going find the reflection during our days of things to find in abundance.
The Law of Cause and Effect underscores that every action has consequences. Expressing gratitude is a positive action that ripples out, creating positive effects in our lives and in the lives of others. It is karma, it is putting good where you want to see good reflected back.
The Law of Attraction is the big one. This principle suggests that like attracts like. When we maintain a positive outlook and express gratitude, we attract more positive experiences into our lives. It’s simple, look at the have, not the have not and you will have more to look at.
Together, gratitude and the universal principles creates a harmonious symphony in our lives. When we practice gratitude, we align with the principles, making us co-creators of our reality. By being thankful, we open the floodgates to receive more of the goodness and abundance that the universe has to offer.
When life has given me the most challenges, when I lost people I felt were my foundation, my closest people, I felt hopeless. It felt as if the universe was actually against me, and nothing would ever be positive or good again. But when I began to focus on what I had, even in little ways, I began to see the light around me. I began to find hope that things could be positive, I began to find motivation to take inspired action in my own choices. I became healthier, happier and more in tune with positive energy, thoughts, emotions and behaviours. I began to attract abundance and positive experience.
This is mindset shift. Gratitude is a key that opens the door in manifestation. Many of my clients will resist the action of gratitude, responding with the focus of lack instead of what they have. Supporting them in comparison to others who would switch positions with them can guide them back into the realisation that they actually have quite a lot to be grateful for.
Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to find appreciation. Even if you do not have large boisterous families, or a table full of rich foods. You may have more than someone struggling in a war inflicted country. You may have more than someone who doesn’t have a home, or lives in a place where they are in a constant state of risk. Here in Canada we have beauty with natural resources. We have freedom of speech, and the freedom to be who we are. We have the ability to go to a store and pick up what we need most days of the week, and to spend time with those we love when possible.
I am grateful for my knowledge in manifestation. I am grateful for the progress I have made in the creation of Manifestation Therapy as a modality to support others in supporting individuals. I am grateful in every possible way for the love of my family and the connections I have with my family. I appreciate the beauty of the changing seasons, and the energy that guides me.
In essence, gratitude and universal principles really are the keys to unlocking the true potential of our lives. They are the guiding stars that illuminate our path toward joy, fulfillment, and purpose. So, embark on this journey with an open heart, find appreciation in the present moment and embrace the profound wisdom that surrounds all of us. In doing so, you will discover that gratitude is not merely a practice but a way of living in harmony with the universe itself.
